Creative Northland Professional Development Programme 2008.  Deadline for applications 31 July 2008

apt.org.nz - calendar of arts events in Northland and information of interest to the arts community and arts supporters. Creative sector practitioners & organisations can utilise the website to promote their events, programmes, workshops etc for free.

Umbrella Funding - At the discretion of Arts Promotion Trust management, Arts Promotion Trust may be able to act as an “umbrella” organisation for other individuals and organisations to apply for funding under our not-for-profit status.  Click here for current projects funded through this initiative.

Creative sector business training in association with BizNorthsign up for our creative sector e-letter to be kept in the loop!

Resource database and information - a constantly evolving database of links, information and resources is being compiled as is available at our resources and links area on our website.  Also view the news section for opportunities with deadines eg awards, competitions, funding etc

Weekly What's On e-letter - to let arts fans know about events, performances, festivals etc that are on in the Northland region. Creative sector practitioners & organisations can utilise this to promote their events for free.

Weekly Creative e-letter - information for creative sector workers and organisations to assist their development.  The e-letter includes such things as funding, professional development, networking opportunities, performance and exhibition opportunities.  Creative sector practitioners & organisations can utilise this to promote their programmes, seminars, workshops etc for free.

Poster Bollards - Whangarei - we maintain the 3 poster bollards in Whangarei city. Please drop in or mail us your posters and we will put them up for you. We also have poster noticeboards in our building for your posters.

artofnorthland.co.nz – directory of Northland visual art and artists.  For information about how to include yourself and your works please contact us.

Regional Arts Development Officer (RADO) – full-time and mobile, to strengthen regional networks by providing information, networking and promotional opportunities for practitioners and organisations.

Creative Sector Development Groups - quarterly meetings in Kaipara, Far North and Whagarei held to consult with the sector, develop opportunities and network.  For terms of reference, minutes etc please contact Natacha.

Northtec Visual Arts / Flax Roots Multi-Disciplinary Arts Documentation Project - a collaborative programme in which visual arts and video documentary students team up to document the Northland creative sector and feed a multi-media, interactive web archive coordinated by Arts Promotion Trust.

Northland Touring Circuit - currently establishing a database of venues and ways to promote gigs suitable for original music.  This information will be published here on our website as soon as it is available.

Fritter – annual compilation CD/s of Northland musicians with associated programme of events built around NZ Music Month in May.

NZ Music Month - Workshops and clinics for May each year, as well as facilitating other events and additional promotion during Music Month.  One of our visions for the region is for Northland’s NZ Music Month to be the liveliest in the country.

Northland Art Trail - coordinating the creation and printing of trail brochure featuring art and craft studios and galleries as well as public artworks around Northland.  You can pick up a copy of the Northland Art Trail at I-Sites and galleries across the region.  To obtain brochures or to register your interest in a listing in the 2009 edition please contact Natacha, natacha@apt.org.nz   

Art Beat – producing the annual one-day multi-cultural, interactive, performing and visual arts festival. Also featuring arts and crafts stalls and cultural cuisine.  To register your interest in holding a stall or performing contact Sandy-Lee

TaiTokerau Matariki – lead by Tai Tokerau Maori and Cultural Tourism Association and in partnership with Destination Northland and Te Puni Kokiri. Promotional co-ordination of Matariki events held region wide around the month of June, celebrating Maori New Year.  For information please contact Karen,
